"The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once."

- Albert Einstein

I'm the kind of person that doesn't like to go out to bars to find girls, especially since I didn't live around any and would have to drive to downtown Dallas just to find them, plus being fairly computer savvy online dating seemed like a good fit. It was a little weird at first to put a bunch of personal information out on the web, but it honestly wasn't much more invasive than a facebook or myspace profile would be, just a little more in-depth. I ended up talking to a few girls and meeting one or two of them, but I never really felt a spark or anything of the sort, that is, until I found Haley (... more like, until Haley found me).

She seemed very friendly and the conversations via email never seemed dull. It was a joy to read what she had to say and I always hurried to write something back. Emails turned into phone calls and phone calls turned into agreeing to meet up for a first date. I had a hard time coming up with something to do and after some thought and ideas from friends, I came up with dinner and bowling (you can't really get to know someone by taking them to a movie).

Needless to say, I was pretty nervous all day but when I saw her for the first time, I thought to myself "a beautiful woman to match a beautiful voice." We had dinner, then went next door to the bowling alley and bowled a bit. After we said our good byes, I drove home, called my friend Chris and told him "she's the one."

Sure enough, a few dates and a few years later, we are engaged to be married on the 14th of May, 2011 one day shy of our 3 year anniversary of our first date.
